Face to face weeks

During the Masters, the students will study on campus for four weeks: Silicon Valley – Westfield business School, Cambridge – United Kingdom, Ivey – Hong Kong and Kelllog – Illinois. With these on campus weeks, the student body will complete their vision and knowledge of the world of global organizations, they will share their experience with students who come from different backgrounds and cultures, creating networks inside a unique framework and under the tutelage of highly qualified teachers.

Silicon Valley

It is the name given to the southern area of the San Francisco Bay Area, in northern California, United States. Silicon Valley is home to many of the world’s largest technology corporations and small start-ups. Silicon Valley is a leader in high-tech innovation and development. There have been born companies like Apple, Google and Hewlett Packard among others. Among the highlights of the workers and students there are the desire for constant learning, optimism and the desire to change the world.


Globalization, technological development, commercialization and the aging of the population are some of the macro trends detected at the global level. These are global trends that can influence and condition the demographic, economic and technological environment at the global level and therefore to the companies. For companies, knowledge of macro trends is important insofar as they affect business, business models and markets and represent a structural movement with a medium- and long-term impact.

Throughout this week of learning, the student will deepen the observation and analysis of these macro trends with the aim of gaining knowledge about the future behavior of key aspects that characterize societies, organizations and individuals.

The University of Cambridge was founded in 1902. Many prominent people from the politic, cultural, and sports fields, who have contributed to change the world, have passed through its famous schools and buildings.

The University of Cambridge is one of the oldest universities and academic centers in the world. Its outstanding academic reputation is known worldwide and it reflects the intellectual achievement of its students, as well as the merit of its faculty and tutors.


The disruptive innovation process has favored many companies, who have experienced an increase their leadership by offering new products and services. Leading this innovation has become a big challenge for leaders and global companies alike as it requires the development of specific competencies in order to lead themselves and said organizations.

During this learning week, the students will deepen on the steps necessary to articulate an innovative process. Case studies will be used to demonstrate how companies belonging to the musical industry, entertainment, and mobile technology, among others, have renewed themselves and their products, achieving a higher performance in them, as well as facilitating people’s lives.

already answering to the market’s needs. This produces a

Founded in 1908 in downtown Chicago, the School was created in order to educate the managerial leaders of the 20th Century. Kellogg was pioneer in the use of group projects and assessment and made popular the importance of “teamwork” and “team leadership” in the business world. The faculty associated to the school have made important contributions in fields such as commerce, marketing, and advertising.


Planning is centered on the consumer as a strategy based on placing the client at the center of the business, giving him a positive experience before and after the sale with the aim of encouraging re-sell, loyalty, and benefits.

During the face-to-face week at Kellogg, the students will learn first-hand how to implement strategic planning which allows them to offer the client an experience starting from an awareness-raising stage, the purchase process, and the post-purchase. In order to do this, the students will work on tools which will allow them to anticipate the needs of the client and create a culture design to help them.

that is why it is vital to take on a customer-centered strategy,
where the client is put at the core of the business.

Hong Kong

Ivey Business School (Ivey) is the University of Western Ontario’s Business School. It is a university re-known for its work on the research field. The Business School was officially created in 1950. It stands out for having one of the best MBA programs outside of the United States. The University has sites in Toronto and Hong Kong, where it was the first American school to open a campus in 1998. Its programs include EMBA and Executive Education.


The complexity and dynamics of a global company imply the need to count on managers educated in economy, finance, culture, technology, and international marketing, who are also capable of understanding the differences amongst cultures and their influence in corporate governance. The challenge for international managers within this global context must be to create work environment which integrate the needs of a diverse cultural team. To make this possible, it is essential for managers to be involved and have an intercultural framework as reference.

The objective during the face-to-face week in Ivey, is to train managers responsible to develop strategies, display resources, and lead the organization internationally.

The participants will focus on the four areas of thinking and performance: prospective, systemic thinking, economic-financial thinking, and leadership from a global point of view, as well as the creation of work environments which satisfy the needs of a multicultural work team.

Enrolment Process

The person interested will have a tutor available who will guide and help him or her during the whole process. This person will be in charge of managing doubts, and will analyze the applicant’s résumé and professional career. The tutor will also study the applicant’s needs and motivations to do the GEMBA and will determine if the course adjusts to the applicant’s expectations and if it is the best option for his or her requirements and experience.
